Education
The first school opened in Berzheshtë in 1895 and the first dormitory was in Berzështë opened in 1929. Today the education system is extended throughout the district. Operating 93 kindergartens for preschool children, 53 primary schools, 62 schools 9 years, and 10 schools where around 17,200 students learn and teachers teach about 1.142.
